Meet the New 30 × 50 ft Jump Pad at Holiday Acres

Illustrated jump pad cover reading Big Jumps. Big Fun. New 30 × 50 ft Jump Pad.

Holiday Acres has a new 30 × 50 ft jump pad, adding another reason for families to spend their camping days outside. Located in Garden Prairie, Illinois, our campground combines this new attraction with two children’s playgrounds, mini putt, sports, a swimming pool and walking trails along the Kishwaukee River.

For parents planning family camping near Rockford or a getaway from the Chicago area, having several activities in one place makes the weekend easier. The kids can look forward to something new, while your campsite stays close enough for lunch, a change of clothes and a break between adventures.

A big addition to campground playtime

The new jump pad measures 30 feet by 50 feet. It joins an established mix of recreation at Holiday Acres, giving families another activity to build into their visit. Rather than planning every hour around a separate attraction, you can spend more of your trip enjoying the campground together.

Before using the pad, check the posted instructions and ask the office about current operating hours, participation requirements and weather-related closures. Follow the rules for the equipment in front of you. A blog post or promotional illustration should never replace the directions posted at the attraction.

Build a family day around more than one activity

A good camping day has room for energetic play and slower moments. Start with breakfast at your site, visit an open recreation area, then return for a relaxed lunch. Later, choose another activity based on everyone’s energy and the weather.

Our campground activities and amenities include two playgrounds, mini putt, volleyball, a basketball court and GaGa ball. The swimming pool provides another option during its operating season and posted hours. Walking trails along the river offer a different pace when your group wants to explore the surroundings.

Let each child pick one activity they especially want to try. A shared plan can make it easier to balance different ages and interests without turning your getaway into a timetable. Keep space for an unexpected game, meeting another camping family or simply sitting outside together.

Pack for an outdoor camping weekend

Bring refillable water bottles, comfortable clothes, weather-appropriate layers and the supplies your family normally uses outdoors. Check equipment-specific requirements before deciding what to wear on the jump pad. Keep a small bag ready for moving between the campsite and recreation areas, with a place for wet clothes after swimming.

Review the National Weather Service’s Northern Illinois forecasts before travel and during your stay. Flexible plans are useful when conditions change. A favorite card game, book or quiet campsite activity gives your family something enjoyable to do while waiting for outdoor conditions to improve.

Add a themed weekend or a meal at Miles

The jump pad is one part of the Holiday Acres experience. Scheduled entertainment includes themed weekends, live bands, karaoke, pig roasts and hay rides. Check our events page and ask the office which activities are planned for your dates; the same lineup does not take place every weekend.

When you want a break from campsite cooking, visit Miles Bar & Grill. Confirm current kitchen hours and menu availability before heading over. An easy meal together can be a welcome finish after an afternoon of campground games.

Choose the stay that fits your family

Explore our ways to stay to compare overnight RV camping, seasonal camping and other options. Ask the office about tent-site suitability, cabins or rentals, and the details that matter to your group. If you bring an RV, have its type, length and hookup requirements ready when reserving.

Holiday Acres is at 7050 Epworth Rd, Garden Prairie, IL 61038. Review the campground map and guest guidelines before arrival, then ask where to find the jump pad and other recreation areas when you check in.

Before leaving home, save your reservation details and the office number so they are easy to find.
